What is ancient foil?

This is Kanazawa foil original to "Hakuichi." Until then, the world of foil had been dominated by the color of the metal itself, such as gold and silver foil, but this is Kanazawa foil that has been discolored using a special manufacturing method that has revolutionized the world of foil. The foil has a gradation process that changes color to gold from the center, and because of this special process, only a small portion of the foil is usable, making it a rare and special foil that is more expensive than real gold foil.
